Remembering

Image
It is a tricky business, this coming into incarnation. The requirements are stringent; the forgetting that happens the moment we enter is not much fun either. The remembering brings joy though. However, before we can begin to remember, we are required to layer ton of mores and customs upon the pristine souls we brought to earth. We are asked to assume a victim’s approach to life. To pretend that we are often powerless. Most of all to pretend to learn about things. Whenever, we refuse to play this game we are termed “ difficult ” by our teachers, ” know it al l” by our peers and “ insane ” by the rest of society. These are some of the calculated risks each soul takes upon coming to earth to learn and work. The entire incarnation affair seems to work something like this: The soul, needing to complete a facet of learning, chooses a potential series of circumstances which will reveal the lessons and allow it to learn faster. Weighing all the potential dangers, not the least of...

The Soul's Work

Image
The soul is the archive of beliefs. Any belief contrary to the truth that we are one must be brought to the light of truth and healed. That is the true healing that leads to the regeneration of the body.   Release of false beliefs in disease, poverty, pain, evil and death is not easy for earth dwellers. The reason it proves to be such a struggle to hold to the Truth of Being is that the current of the false belief runs so deep and strong within the social consciousness.   This error thinking is so entrenched within the social consciousness that they are referred to as laws. Now a law is a very binding thing.   Especially when that law is said to have universal proportions, as some of these laws of disease and death are said to have.   One may feel afraid flying in the face of some malevolent cosmic force if one violates such laws.   But are they really laws, or are they entrenched beliefs that we have come to accept as laws?   There is a teaching...

Life after Death

I am utterly convinced that there is no death, that life continues unabated and undiminished even after a human has been pronounced ‘dead’ and buried or burned. What makes me so sure? I personally have spoken to those who have gone on. We use the words ‘passed away’ when referring to those who have made the change from living in a body to living somewhere else. That is because we refuse to see the immortal being living inside ourselves.  The first plank in my abiding faith in the continuity of life is my stepfather. My step dad laid his body down in 1985; he had lived 89 years in his body. A few months after his passing, he started coming to me with conversation about his condition. His first message to me was how happy he was with the ritual I had employed by sending Light to him and the others who was there with him. Several years after my mother joined him; he visited one evening and told me that a family friend was over there with them. Weeks later I was speaking with ...

The Twittersphere

Rocking Robin, the rock ‘n roll hero from the sixties, has come alive and is now dominating our language in one hundred and forty characters. Characters! The hundred and forty is not limited to words, but characters. This means every symbol on the keyboard is in play. Rocking is imposing it rules on our language, reducing words to letters and forcing adjectives, adverbs, participles and the lowly gerund into extinction. Prepositions are allowed, they are short. What in the world is a wordsmith to do?   Our beloved Holy Book, the dictionary, is taking a severe beating. Those of us who love an elegant sentence must unite to overthrow this egregious oppression of our right to write run along sentences. The joy of finding a new word and getting to its root may be lost forever if we do not do something. We must fight back against the tyrannical rule of Rocking and its hundred and forty characters. It’s not too late.  Leisurely, “down the country lane’ sentences are gone...
