Where Are My Keys?

Image
Yesterday, my nephew, Joseph, drove up from Dunwoody to take me to the grocery store. The reason he had to do that is that my car died a couple of months and as of this moment has not been replaced. I am grateful for having such loving folks around me to spare me some of the harsher realities of not having personal transportation in an area where there is no public transportation to speak of. All of this takes me to my keys. Last evening I had a group meeting with church folks. Another great soul, Bonnie, picks me up for that event. Well as she pulled up I reached for my keys on the hook on the kitchen wall where I usually keep it. It was not there. I did not have much time to search for them, so I grabbed the spare keys on the adjoining hook and off we went. Returning home, I searched all the suspected places where I could have placed the keys, with no result. I shrugged the whole incident off and went on with the rest of my evening . The River

There is a river of love, light and incredible intelligence running through humanity. This river bears within its flow everything needed for humanity to flourish and establish the golden age of freedom and complete prosperity. The bulk of human beings live on the very banks of this transforming river with nary a glance in its direction. Instead they live their daily lives in drudgery and pain. Fortunately there is, and always were, a core of beings in human form who relish the inspiration and upliftment offered by the river. These benevolent souls have been the stabilizing factor for balance and some harmony on the planet for eons. They continue to be so even now.  There is now a need, urgent in its calling, for more of humanity’s masses to wade into the river; wash their memories clean of sorrows, shame, anguish, vengeance and strife and take on the responsibilities for planetary transformation. This is a delightful task. The river is so very refreshing, renewing and respon

Shining

As a young person, I attended a religious camp in the hills of Manchester, Jamaica. Each night we would end our day with a ritual called an epilogue. This consisted of a short inspirational talk and prayers. This had a profound effect upon our sleep we were calmed by it and rested securely in our cots; knowing all was right in our worlds. This is an epilogue not in the literary sense, but in a spiritual one. It includes inspirational words and a prayer. It is not meant to lull us to sleep but awaken us. The prayer is for continued awakening and expansion into the glory of ourselves.  As we awaken, we begin to know the truth about ourselves. We are the power and glory of a loving Universe unfolding itself in peace, even as we unfold and expand. We are here to bring a light shines from within our very flesh and illuminates the Universe. Indeed, we are the illuminators of this world. We are the bringers of light; a light we have craftily hidden within ourselves, even from our w

Spiritual Discipline

The ego or human personality has for a long time thought itself to be quite alone in the universe, having to struggle under the law of the jungle to survive.   Now it is to be introduced to a new way of being, and to the ego this new way feels very much like death. There is a way to introduce the ego with the larger arena in which it has being and bring it into communion with the Inner Being. This may be done in such a manner as to allow the ego to corporate with the Greater Being of which it is a part, minimize resistance, and still maintain its integrity. This is done through the practice of a Spiritual Discipline. Spiritual Discipline is a method or methods of communing with the Spirit within each and every one. It is not necessarily the types of discipline that are so described by any particular religion, group, sect, teaching or cult; but it is whatever method an individual uses to commune with the Inner Being.   It must always be approached with reverence and love; when so
